Well...not the weather I was looking for...

What a miserable day! This weather is horrible... =( On rainy days like this all I want to do is sleep... stay in all day and relax, be lazy. I am so glad I do not have to go anywhere in this weather though, I got home to observe and back to school before this nasty weather started!
I can not wait until school is over, or at least until this much needed spring break. I am so sick of being at school. I can not wait to get out of hereeeee. Be with all my close friends that I can trust!
I cant wait to work all week of my spring break! I work at an after school care program, and absolutely love it =) Ive been working there for two years, so I love all the kids, and many love me in return! It is so much fun.
My one best friend is studying abroad currently in London through her school Farleigh Dickinson! She is so lucky, this weekend, she is in Paris. Then next week for her spring break, her parents are coming up and they are going to Italy! I am sooooo jealous. I have NEVER been out of the country =(

  1. Hi Carly! I know what you mean about rainy days, I loose motivation on those days too! I am loving observing although I was very tired the other day- I organized writing folders, graded and helped students with math! I would love to ago abroad too- at TCNJ ed majors can do student teaching abroad- wouldn't that be so cool? Are you working at a BR school?

  3. Carly, Enjoy your week off and enjoy those little ones. Next year..........Paris. I would like to hear more about what happens in that after school program. What are you learning about the way young people learn and socialize with one another? Also, put more fish in that tank. They need compnay. Dr. Ries

  4. In the After Care Program that I work at, it is something new every day! No two days of work are the same. With so many kids and five different grade levels all combined, there is a lot going on. As councelors, we constantly have to be on top of everything, and always be observing and playing close attention to all of the students around us. If any fights, arguements, or accidents happen with the children, it is very important that atleast one of the counselors working observed what happened first hand. This was, there is a clear, truthful story to what happened. Because parents are VERY strict with knowing exactly what happened to their children, and whos fault it was. Because of course, they all thing that their children are angels, and try to turn it around on the counselors. There are hundreds of stories I could tell about working at this job! Overall though, our goal is to make sure all of the kids stay safe and have a great time. And they all do have a great time, playing with the other children, and working on their homework together. This is a great experience for the children, because playing and doing their homework with so many children is not something they would get to do without the Aftercare program. Usually, they would just sit at home and do their homework.

  6. The rain on Sunday seems like a drizzle compared to today's rain. But Spring Break starts today and I'm so excited! I think it's cool you're already working with kids aside from observing.

I didn't know you were so sick of being at school! =\ The break is probably just what you need to refresh.

I wish we had time to travel abroad here but with all the courses we have to take we'd probably wind up a semester behind! That's the last thing I want! Have a good spring break Carlita!

PS >> I fed your fishies. I named one Charlie if that's ok with you.
